How this guide works

Your address
As you type, the address search asks the City of Albuquerque's address list and Esri's address search, which covers the whole state. An address neither knows goes to the Census Bureau's address search when you press Enter. Your districts are found on this page from the County Clerk's maps, or outside Bernalillo County from the Census Bureau's district maps. The Ledger never sees your address or your location. If you live near a district line, check the races against your own sample ballot.
Your picks
Picks stay on this page and are gone when you close it. Use Print my ballot to keep them. You don't need the printout to vote.
Candidates
49 races reach a Bernalillo County ballot, and 28 have more than one candidate. Elsewhere in New Mexico, the guide also lists the 49 U.S. House, State House, State Senate and Public Education Commission races there, and each county's countywide offices, magistrates and district judges (158 races and 23 judges up for retention). Districted county commission seats, magistrates elected by division (in Chaves, Curry, Eddy, Lea and San Juan counties), the Los Alamos County Council and other counties' bond questions aren't here yet. Names and ballot order are from the Secretary of State's candidate list as of October 1, 2026. The Bernalillo County races are checked against the county's sample ballot.
Money
Federal races show what each campaign's main committee raised in 2025 and 2026, or since its first report if that came later, from its reports to the Federal Election Commission, split by where the money came from. "Transfers and other" is mostly money passed on by other committees authorized to raise for the campaign, such as joint fundraising committees, plus smaller items like loans from banks and refunds. Money raised by those other committees is listed separately ("plus ... in other committees") so none is counted twice. State and county races show what each campaign raised since Oct. 7, 2025, or since its first report if that came later, from the Secretary of State's campaign finance system. Each candidate's dates are under their name. "No report yet" means no report covering a finished period was on file when the guide was updated; "No complete report yet" means the reports on file were filed before their periods ended.
Judges
Each judge needs 57% yes to stay. The state's Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission surveys the lawyers, court staff and others who work in front of each judge, and recommends retaining 20 of the 20 on a Bernalillo County ballot. Ratings are from its 2026 evaluations, read October 1, 2026. "Agree" combines agree and strongly agree. The lawyers' number on each judge is the Ledger's average of the share of lawyers who agreed in each area they rated; the commission publishes the areas, not the average. A rating the commission printed that does not add up to 100% is left out, including from the average.
Ballot questions
17 questions: bonds that let the state, the county or the flood control authority borrow money, amendments to the state constitution, and 3 City of Albuquerque questions, which are only on ballots inside city limits.
